Maintenance Tips

  • Turn off your main water shut offs if you are out of your unit for more than 48 hours
  • Continually monitor water levels when filling sinks and tubs with water.
  • Notify HOA management at first sign of leaking/flooding.
  • Do not run your washing machine, dryer, or dishwasher unless you are in the unit and can monitor them as you are using them.
  • If there are any active leaks in your unit turn off the main water shut off valves in your unit immediately. Be familiar with how to do this before an emergency water shut down could be required in your unit.
  • Exercise your main water shut off valves in your unit bi -annually.
  • Use a strainer in your kitchen sink/s and throw away food in place of grinding it through the garbage disposal.
  • Do not over load your washing machine

Reporting Building Emergencies

In the event of a unit flood, leak or other building emergency that need immediate attention be sure that you are reporting it the proper way. If it is after office business hours call the 24 hour emergency line at 1-800-400-2284. Please do not call the office or email about building emergencies after business hours. Management office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday’s 8:00am – 5:30pm. Tuesday and Thursday’s 8:00am – 4:30 pm. The office phone number is 619-786-7497. To report security concerns after hours call 619-500-1850.

Fobs for Building Entry – Trouble Shooting

Did you know that your fobs can work on doors even if the battery is dead? The fob will not work on a vehicle gate if the battery is dead. If your fob is not working on a vehicle gate check to see if a small light on the fob is illuminating when you press a button. If it is not illuminating, or is dim it is likely that your fob needs a battery replacement. You can pry open your fob with a small flathead screw driver, or if it is a newer square black fob using a small phillips head screwdriver to unscrew it to open the fob. Take the battery with you into a store like CVS or Home Depot to purchase the specific battery replacement.

Remove Doormats in Hallways of Units Without Coves

In Chapter 10 of the California Fire Code it prohibits obstructions that prevent evacuation in the event of a fire. Door mats can be a tripping hazard, they interfere with floor cleaning, and can be liability to the owners. Please remove your door mat if it is in the hallway, and if you do not have a cove entrance to your unit.
