Smoke Detectors / Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Are the batteries fresh? Even hardwired systems need battery back-up in the event of a power outage. Set a reminder to change the batteries annually or as specified by the manufacturer in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.
Ten years is considered the life of a smoke alarm unit. Inspect your current units. They should have a date of manufacture. Toss any units that you find older than that or that don’t have a date on them. Conduct checks of all your alarms to insure that they are working properly.
Trash and Recycle Shoot Clogs
Tis the season for trash and recycle shoot clogs. Please break down all of your boxes and bring them to the trash rooms. Items that appear to fit in the shoots can shift on their way down, and get lodged sideways to create blockage. Clogged shoots creates an avoidable danger to the staff. Thank you for taking the extra time to take boxes or large trash items to the trash rooms.
Bike Rooms Deadbolt Locks
Deadbolt locks were installed on the three bike room doors. This added security measure will help prevent entrance by prying the doors open. The deadbolts are keyed the same as your existing bike room key. Please lock the deadbolt every time you exit the bike rooms.
Thank you
