Grocery and Food Delivery Services

Recently many grocery and food deliveries are being left at several different locations throughout the building, and are not being delivered to the unit’s front doors. Here are a few ideas that may help address this:

  • Make sure your orders have your unit number listed.
  • Provide the delivery services with instructions on where to leave the box.
  • Request that the delivery person send a picture of where they leave the delivery.
  • If the wrong box is delivered to your unit, contact management and we will contact the correct recipient.

Building Water Shut Down Policy

To streamline building water shut downs requested by owners for unit repairs, see policy below. 

  • Building water shutdowns will be scheduled the 4th Tuesday of the month. Shut down will begin @ 10am.
  • Owners must submit a request to schedule a building water shut down in writing at least 10 days in advance. Requests submitted with less notice will not be accommodated and will need to be scheduled during the following month’s building water shut down.
  • Owners must ensure that water is completely turned off in the unit before beginning repairs.
  • Repairs in your unit must be completed by 4pm to allow time for the facility tech to restore water to the building during business hours. If your repair is not completed by 4pm, over time charges will be billed to you.
  • It is highly suggested that a plumber that is familiar with the building make repairs; however, it is not required. Plumbers must carry at least $1 million in general liability, name Piazza Palermo Owners Association as additional insured, and not have any exclusions in their insurance policy that would result in coverage issues should damage occur from their work.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

A group discount rate of $95.00 per unit for dryer vent cleaning is being offered by Flite Mechanical Heating & Air Professionals. The standard price for this service is $165.00. The days that the services will be available are April 18th, 19th, and 20th, 2023.

Remove Doormats in Hallways of Units Without Coves

In Chapter 10 of the California Fire Code it prohibits obstructions that prevent evacuation in the event of a fire. Door mats can be a tripping hazard, they interfere with floor cleaning, and can be liability to the owners. Please remove your door mat if it is in the hallway, and if you do not have a cove entrance to your unit.

Elevator Closure Notice

One elevator per day will be taken out of commission for the dates indicated below. This is being done to accomplish a routine 5-year testing requirement by the City.

Elevator 1 = 3/28/2023 – Tuesday – Front St. Lobby

Elevator 2 = 3/27/2023 – Monday – Front St. Lobby

Elevator 3 = 3/29/2023 – Wednesday – First Ave Lobby

Elevator 4 = 3/24/2023 – Friday – First Ave Lobby
